So yeah, I’ve been having some troubles in my life. It hasn’t been too fun. Sometimes life is hard. Kids are hard, marriage is hard, then you have to work and function on top of all that. Fun times. I had a bit of a run on my shop recently, lots of orders (which is also sometimes hard to keep up with) so I treated myself to some Etsy items. Thought I’d share. I know it’s probably too late to hit these shops in time for the holidays but you might find something you like, or hey, maybe you’ll get en Etsy gift card!
This has yet to arrive but I’m so in love with it. I’m on a mission to accessorize, it’s going well.
These bangles are much prettier in person. They arrived yesterday, I wore them out last night and then today to work. Everyone commented on them. Very simple and pretty.
Em & Sprout have the best shirts. I’m in trouble now that I know my exact size. I also ordered this one.
Finally, I treated myself to some art by the wonderful Lucky Jackson. Not only does she make amazing things she’s such a wonderfully nice person!

How fun are these?
Made from vintage linens found while thrifting. Some are embellished with some hand stitching. Get Batman and Robin here and the Wonder Woman here.

As if Mollie Makes wasn’t already such a beautiful magazine. I’d love to own an actual paper one some day but since I renewed my digital subscription before I could find it for purchase near me I can’t bring myself to pay money for a paper copy when I already have one. Although sometimes the freebie gifts do tempt me. Now they’ve got Gathered and it’s weekly and I’m already issues behind!
I think it’s still offering 5 issues for free if you subscribe in some way, if you’re part of the iCrowd. They don’t charge your account until the 5 free issues are over.
So my bff and I went thrifting tonight. Our Bollywood dance class was cancelled and so we made plans to head out thrifting with out empty night. Of course I missed the phone call yesterday that apparently Bollywood was back on but we were already in Toronto and having fun so oh well.
We hit 4 theft stores after dinner. Not too shabby.
However, I didn’t thrift a thing. Technically. I found this Lug bag at a Goodwill for $10.01 (gotta love their prices). It’s in the marigold colour of the second bag but it’s the style of the green bag. I’ve liked the look of Lug bags for a while but they’re a bit pricey, especially when you have a tote/bag addition. Online this one is about $65. Nice find.
I passed up some nice Pyrex, I already have soooo much.
And I carried this great bag around for a while but decided I have one very similar already here at home, and plus I was already buying a bag! You know you’re an addict when . . .

Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who pops by here and read my blog. I know it’s for me and blah blah blah but it’s really nice to know there are people on the other end of this thing. If you follow me here or on Twitter or like me on Facebook or whatever I really appreciate it and I hope I return the favour in some way.
If you do something cool and I don’t know about it yet please point it out to me because I believe in sharing the love and shouting it from the roof tops when there’s cool stuff to be found.
Thanks!
So I offered to make this apron for Homespun Dazzle in exchange for some of her fabulously fantastic candles.
While in Toronto for BlissdomCA I made the epic walk to The Workroom.
Picked up these fun fat quarters, it seems it was a pink and blue day.
I also picked up one of those cross stitchable pendants. Not sure what I’m putting on it yet but I’ve got some fun ideas.
Also, yeah it’s Friday and I still haven’t finished what I said I would for my Create Along, once again, such is life.
I have to admit I’m a bit of a multitasker and watch shows while crafting. Since I’ve been writing my blog and operating my Etsy shop for almost 4 years that’s made for a lot of TV series I’ve burned through. Some I’ve just found/borrowed/bought but many come from Netflix or Netflix.ca if you’re like me. Most of these have had their run and you can watch them right till the end.
Quirky and funny.
This one takes a special kind of humour but it’s totally worth it. Not for the easily offended,Arrested Development.
I know there’s a lot of workplace comedies in this list but hey, they’re funny, Better Off Ted.
The Office, British version is hilarious and totally unpolitically correct. The Office, US is good too. And, since it’s still on the air Parks and Recreation is great.
Geeky and still funny.
If you like zombies, video games and comic books this one will make you chuckle Spaced.
The recent runs of Dr Who. Didn’t think I’d like this one but I sooooo do.
Supernatural. Total eye candy, oh and a good show too.
Charmed. I never watched this when it was actually on but it was the first series I went through when I started my crafty life a few years ago.
Random British stuff.
Mistresses. Serious drama about a group of girlfriends and their relationships with men and each other.
Coupling. This show was on before Friends and I’ve heard it’s sort of where they got the idea. This series is a bit racier than Friends, as is most British television, but it’s hilarious.
Another one sure to cause giggles and laugher is The IT Crowd. Yeah, I have a thing for British television.
Oldies but goodies I could watch again and again.
The Goonies. Just watched this the other weekend.
Princess Bride. I can quote line upon line upon line.
And of course Firefly, Serentiy, Flight of the Conchords and Spaceballs and I’m sure I could go on and on with some more but I think you now have enough to choose from!
